Only one life ‘Twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last!James 4:14: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor , that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Psalm 90:12: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Life seems long when you count up the days, but brief when you see it in the light of God’s timelessness. These words clearly indicate that we should prize every day as a precious gift from God, a priceless opportunity not to be squandered but to be used for His glory and the benefit of our fellowmen. In the end, therefore, the most important measure of our life is not primarily its length but how faithful we’ve been in serving the Lord.
