Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath!This thought is itself a quotation from God’s word in James 1:19: It has been well said that God has given us two ears and one mouth because He wants us to hear more than we speak. Luke 8:18: Jesus said, Take heed therefore how ye hear; for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. “It is a sobering thought that what we hear will affect us not only for time but for eternity.
