My name is Joseph Filippazzo. I arrived at Calvary Commission on Jan 23, 2021. My life has not been the same since recommitting my life to Christ back in 2016. Being baptized and having a real loving relationship with Jesus Christ changed my whole life. He delivered me from addiction and restored my family. Through repentance and surrender Jesus is changing my life. At Calvary Commission, I am serving and growing in my relationship with Him.
My name is Robert White. I am a second year student at Calvary Bible Institute. Becoming a Christian, a true Follower of Jesus Christ, has changed my life. I have been delivered from severe sickness and over 40 years of drug addiction. I don’t crave marijuana or meth anymore. I’ve been given the mind of Christ and God’s Holy Spirit lives in me and I want to share this new lifestyle with all that I contact.
This progress is the result of the support and prayers of the gracious partners of this ministry.

Progress Continues. The new Calvary Commission Student Academic Center now has foam insulation.
On this same road in 1977, you would have seen barbwire fences and pastureland. Today, passing through the entrance you will see the road is lined with crepe myrtle trees and to your right will be the new Student Academic Center.

We are celebrating our 45th Breakthrough Missions and Prayer Conference on August 31st – September 4th 2022.
We invite you to our 2022 Breakthrough Conference for a refreshing time of prayer and missions updates. There will also be a 45 year anniversary reunion banquet. We have some powerful speakers who will touch your heart with God’s Word and we believe the Holy Spirit will give passion to each heart and produce renewal to face the challenges to tomorrow.

1977 There Was Hope Then
Calvary Commission began in 1977 with 14 men recently released from prison. We had discovered a treasure; ruined lives restored by Jesus. These men and those who followed were changed lives ready to make a difference in the world. We were unknown and sometimes our vision was misunderstood. We were also unfunded. We saw the opportunity to make a wood product that we could sell for income.
The idea was to make a planter that could be sold to nurseries. We found a scrap pile at a saw-mill of small strips of wood. The price was free. We liked that. Another free resource was a corrugated cardboard core from printing KYC boxes. We formed the 17 inch 3 legged planter. We sold a few to nurseries but looked at the idea of taking them door to door which became our plan resulting in the delivery of 110,000 in 11 years.
2022 There Is Hope Now
We are asked, “How is Calvary Commission?” We respond, “We are still doing the same thing – finding those on-fire men and women radically changed in prison and meeting them on release.” Think about it. Spending one night in a prison cell and then the next as a Bible College Student. Arthur kept asking, “Have you heard anything about Christian, my cellie back in prison?” Then came the phone call and Christian (what a name!) was on his way.
